Jeremy’s Rants and Stuff

Ok so the wife is browsing some realty sites the other night and she comes across a few that she likes that are pretty cheap in price, but overwhelming in “fixer upper” stuff.

She continued her browsing and came across a really pretty home here in town. (Small pic included here.) Anyhow… so she gets excited about it saying that she loves it.. yada yada yada. I take a pretty good look at it and say to myself, and her, too much work. Here’s a quick review of some of what it has:

• 2176 Sq. Ft. above grade
• 5 Bedrooms
• 2 Full Bathrooms
• 1 Fireplace
• Basement
• Lot Size: 60×128
• Built in 1900

All this and more for a listing of $23,900 on one site and $27,900 on another.

Well she convinced me to go by this house today to look at it and peer into the windows. I’m glad I went. Seriously, I think if we paid cash and gave an offer of 15-20,000 we would be set.

Looking at the inside of the house, as well as the outside, there really isn’t anything major that has to be done. It all seems small and cosmetic. We will still hire someone to come in and do an inspection and what not.

This place is huge on the inside!
